Thrilling news everyone! This morning, within the last hour, the campaign for A Truth Universally Acknowledged: Queer Fanworks Inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” crossed our base funding goal!! This is wonderful news, and guarantees that Duck Prints Press will be able to publish this awesome collection of artwork and stories, and be able to make the related merchandise too. We’ve got fund goals to get our backers more stuff (at no additional cost) and to give our contributors raises, so now – we’ve hit the minimum, and the sky’s the limit!

Thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word about this project. We couldn’t have done it without you.

There are only three days left before the campaign ends, and only a few teasers at well! Today, we’ve got three artists and two authors for you! Check out today's update and teasers here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/duckprintspress/a-truth-universally-acknowledged-a-queer-fanworks-anthology/posts/4264688

A Truth Universally Acknowledged: Queer Fanworks Inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” is 80% funded! With 8 days to go! We’re really on a roll, and we’d love to keep that going to reach our goal early and maybe get to a stretch goal or two. Stretch goals are great for us, because they primarily are designed to enable us to raise the pay of our contributors!

In case you were wondering, there’ll be five more of these teaser posts after this one – so we’re almost halfway through the teasers. A lot of contributors means a lot of posts! You can read today's post here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/duckprintspress/a-truth-universally-acknowledged-a-queer-fanworks-anthology/posts/4261370

A banner graphic with the words "Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica" written over an art of the entangled arms and legs of some number of people who are lying over a flat background of red and orange flowers. The Duck Prints Press logo is in the lower left corner.

Duck Prints Press is thrilled to share that our debut explicit anthology, Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica, is now available to the general public! This project successfully crowdfunded over the summer, and we fulfilled our Kickstarter campaign in September; now, the book and leftover merch can be yours, even if you missed the campaign!

For those who love their short stories spicy, we’re delighted to bring you Duck Prints Press’s debut explicit anthology Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica. In this collection of 15 brand-new stories, we celebrate many flavors of polyamory. Orgy? Yes please! Ménage à trois? C’est magnifique! Foursomes and moresomes? Delighted to attend! We asked our contributors to blow our minds with their fun combinations, unusual settings, favorite trope usage, and (of course) super sexy smut—and they didn’t disappoint. From a vampire free-for-all to a heartfelt reunion, from surprise soulmates to enemies-to-lovers, this collection has polyamory in lots of scrumptious varieties that lovers of erotica won’t want to miss!

Now Available:

A graphic over an orange gradient background, showing the Many Hands book and merchandise. The book cover shows three people of indeterminate gender and different skin tones in a tangled embrace. The bookmark shows a person lying in the center with hands reaching on-canvas to grasp them. The sticker shows three stylized dux in an embrace, with a gradient in the colors of the poly flag. Lastly, there is artwork for enamelware, one of a dragon in the old poly pride flag colors.

Get your book and merch TODAY!

This book will also be available through major retailers and libraries within the next couple weeks, so be on the lookout!

We have no leftovers of the other campaign merch – the salamander pin, cover art print, or lemon love candle.

A graphic entitled "Have you seen the ‘Scrap Metal Angel’ Merchandise?" over a dark background with brighter spots of yellow, orange, and red bokeh. On the left, there's artwork labeled “Adrian Somer & Kade Mauzy Poster,” depicting a white man in a suit standing and a dark-skinned woman with white hair, more casually dressed, kneeling beside him. In the middle, it says "Gate of Death Postcard" and “Shion Matreva Postcard,” and there’s two accompanying art pieces. One shows a stylized ribcage formed into a door, with a tiny silhouette standing before it, and below that is a woman in a long trenchcoat, holding green fire in one hand and a book in the other. On the right, text reads “Adrian and Whistler Bookmark,” with two more art pieces, one with the suited man, the other with a man with a mechanical clawed hand and a long, segmented/mechanical tail.

Secret Gates have protected mankind from the unknown chaos beyond the edges of reality for millennia, and now, all that stands between everything humanity knows and the horrors outside it are a depressed trans man, his exhausted partner, and a creature ill-suited to the world after being pulled from his own horrific reality. This is Scrap Metal Angel by Nicola Kapron, an urban fantasy where only fragile Gates protect all we know from eldritch, incomprehensible magic. This is the world that Adrian Somer is determined to save.

As part of Duck Prints Press’s crowdfunding campaign to launch the publication of Nicola Kapron’s new novella Scrap Metal Angel, we’ve worked with artist Felix Vanasse (website, Instagram, and Facebook) to create artwork of the main protagonists Adrian Somer, Kade Mauzy, and Whistler, and main antagonist Shion Matreva. The gorgeous results will be made into a poster, two postcards, and a two-sided bookmarks – all of which can be purchased individually or as part of our main book + merchandise bundle.

Want the deets? We got those for you!

  • Scrap Metal Angel bookmark (2 in x 7.25 in/5 cm x 18.5 cm). (Printed by UPrinting.) A lovely two-sided glossy bookmark featuring art by campaign artist Felix Vanasse (Website | Instagram | Facebook), with main character Adrian Somer on one side and the Scrap Metal Angel himself, Whistler, on the other.
  • Two Postcard Set (4 in x 6 in/10.25 cm x 15.25 cm). (Printed by UPrinting.) A set of two glossy postcards—expandable to three if we hit our stretch goals!—the first featuring the second Gate, the second featuring book character Shion Matreva. Art by Felix Vanasse.
  • Gatekeepers Poster Print (11 in x 17 in/28 cm x 43.25 cm). (Printed by UPrinting.) A glossy poster print, shipped folded, featuring Adrian Somer and Kade Mauzy, the Gatekeepers who are striving to save the world. Art by Felix Vanasse.

Want even more? We got that too! Anyone who backs our Patreon at the $10/month or $25/month level AND backs this campaign will get an extra – a bonus magnet featuring this lovely artwork (also the scene divider in the book!):

A graphic over a bokeh cityscape at night. Text reads "Patreon Bonus! Rainbow Feather Magnet" and there's artwork of a stylized feather with silver lineart and a rainbow gradient as the main colors.

PATREON EXCLUSIVE: Rainbow Feather Magnet (3 in x 1 in/7.5 cm x 2.5 cm). (Printed by Vograce.) A thick magnet with a layer of acrylic on front and a shiny iridescent hologram finish, featuring a version of our pretty feather divider on which the white has been replaced with a rainbow gradient. All Duck Prints Press $10/month and $25/month Patreon supporters who also back this campaign will get this magnet for free! Become a backer today.

And all this is above and beyond your opportunity to get an awesome, intriguing book! What’s not to love?

The crowdfunding campaign for Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica ends at 2 p.m. Eastern time on July 20th – or, about 27 hours from when I’m posting this! We’re less than $200 from our first stretch goal, which will enable us to double the amount we’re paying our author contributors, and will also get our backers at levels with merch (levels 3 and 4) to get an additional merch piece at no additional cost to them – a sheet of temporary tattoos by artist Jared Powell! Two of the designs that’ll be on this sheet are already completed – here’s a sneak peek.

The blue cama flowers in the top tattoo are commonly associated with polyamory in the language of flowers, and the bottom heart is an American traditional tattoo style take on a heart, with colors reminiscent of the polyamory pride flag. Each of these would be 1 in x 1 in (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm), and there’ll be a third design as well, making a 4 in x 4 in (10.25 cm x 10.25 cm) sheet.

We’d love to make these tattoo designs a reality, and pay our authors more – and you can help! The single biggest assistance anyone can do for a Kickstarter campaign (other than becoming a backer of course!) is to help spread the word. Share our posts on the social media platform(s) of your choice, so more people will know about our awesome project!

And of course, if you’re not a backer yet, there’s no time like the present to become one! Check out our Kickstarter campaign before time runs out!

duckprintspress: (Default)

We’re over the moon to share that Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica has been named a Kickstarter “Project We Love.” This keeps up our streak – this is our fifth Kickstarted anthology, and all five have been named “Projects We Love,” highlighting our track record for honestly describing our projects, meeting our goals, and fulfilling our campaigns with fidelity.

Many Hands has also been added to Kickstarter’s July Event “Heartstrings and Hardbacks,” focused on promoting romance book projects this summer! Not every story in Many Hands is a romance, and it’s an honor for Kickstarter to decide we qualify for the event.

We introduced our new anthology in our announcement post – 15 stories! Amazing authors! Scrumptious smut! – so join us as we take a moment to introduce our campaign merchandise! We’re offering six lovely extras across two tiers – a “basic merch” level and an “all the merch” level.

Basic Merchandise

Our third backer tier includes the book in trade paperback and these three awesome items – a new Dux sticker, an art print, and a bookmark! These items are also each available as add-ons to people who back at any level that includes physical merchandise.

The images for the bookmark and front cover art are ginormous so instead of including them in the Dreamwidth post, I'm just gonna give y'all links. :D

Art Print of the Front Cover

Bookmark

  • Polyamorous Dux Die-Cut Sticker: Alessa Riel is back with a brand-new dux design, featuring multiple dux and their many wings! Dux is our non-binary Press mascot (you can learn more about Dux here), and for this campaign, Dux is getting their snuggle on with two duck friends. 4 in x 2 in/10.25 cm x 5 cm. (Printed by Vograce.)
  • Art Print of the Front Cover: a gorgeous matte print of the front cover art. 8.5 in x 11 in./21.5 cm x 28 cm. Art by Aaron Kotze. (Printed by Printkeg.) You can view the cover here.
  • Many Hands Bookmark: this lovely tasseled, glossy bookmark features a second artwork by cover artist Aaron Kotze. On the back are the signatures of the contributors. 2 in x 7 in/5 cm x 17.75 cm. (Printed by UPrinting.)

Higher-Tier Merchandise

To get the all the merchandise, backers can support us for our highest-level tier, which includes the three “basic merchandise” items introduced above, and also an enamel pin, enamel key chain, and a citrus-and-mint scented candle! The only way to get the candle is to back at this level; the two enamelware items are available as add-ons to lower levels.

  • Lemon Love Candle: a gorgeous mint-and-citrus scented candle in a 3 oz/85 ml metal tin, approximately 2 in/5 cm circular, made by anthology contributor Alec J. Marsh of Speculative Wicktion.
  • Poly Pride Dragon Key Chain: an awesome, cute key chain featuring a design inspired by the original polyamorous pride flag. Art is by reshipkmn. Epoxy-coated soft enamel with gold metal. 1.5 in x 1 in/3.75 cm x 2.5 cm. (Manufactured by Alchemy.)
  • Poly Pride Salamander Enamel Pin: this super sweet salamander is bedecked in the colors of the 2022 tricolor polyamory flag. Art is by reshipkmn. 2 in x 2 in/5 cm x 5 cm. Epoxy-coated soft enamel with black metal. (Manufactured by Alchemy.)

Tons of books and merchandise from our previous campaigns is also available as add-ons, which means no matter what merch you like, odds are we’ll have something you’ll enjoy!

AND you’ll get an amazing, spicy book TOO!

Just a reminder that our Kickstarter campaign to fund the creation of these adorable mythical creature enamel pins and die-cut stickers ends at 2:20 p.m. Eastern time tomorrow, April 2nd! So if you want to make sure you get your pins and stickers, make sure you become a backer now! We're only $180 away from unlocking another beast...

Our Mythical Creature Pride Merch Campaign featuring (currently) six designs of mythical creatures (pegasus, nessie, phoenix, dragon, chimera, and cerberus) in the colors of six pride flags (trans, mlm, wlw, non-binary, bisexual, and asexual flags) has now been running for ten days, and it’s been going awesome – so well that we’re about to add our seventh design, also featuring the artwork of the amazing Pippin Peacock! We crossed our initial funding goal of $3,000 in under 12 hours, and we’re now only $70 from our first stretch goal, which will enable us to create pins and stickers in the colors shared by the agender pride flag and aromantic pride flag: green, white, black, and gray! And the creature for this stretch goal is…

…a Kelpie!! This cutie pie loves to hang out in marshes and swamps but don’t worry, it’s only there to get some alone time in between making friends. Lovely greens help them blend in with the local flora and fauna! (Note: final design pending – this may get tweaked, and we haven’t finished the sticker version yet – this is the enamel pin design)

Also, at the risk of putting our cart before our horse, we’re also only about $1,000 from our second stretch goal, and we’ll start planning it once we’re within about $500 of it (so, once we cross $5,000 in total funding). This to-be-determined critter will be in the colors of the genderqueer pride flag (purple, white and green). I’m really excited what Pippin will come up with when I give them the green light to start designing the next beast.

And, in case you missed it, here are the other six designs…

We’ve also got two of our name-a-beast bundles left, so you haven’t yet missed your chance to name one of these lovelies. Meet Jack Rose the Pegasus and Asha the Phoenix; the Dragon is claimed but remains unnamed, and our fourth beast namer hasn’t picked a beast yet. Nessie, Chimera and Cerberus are left!

So help us spread the word by sharing this post, and even better…

For our final Aether Beyond the Binary spotlight, we’re taking a peek at the campaign bookmark! This will be produced by UPrinting on sturdy paper with a gloss finish, and completed with a golden tassel. We’ve produced six past bookmarks with them, and they’ve all turned out gorgeous (you can see them all here).

The gorgeous campaign bookmark features art by non-binary artist Pippin Peacock, who has also done bookmark art to accompany our anthologies She Wears the Midnight Crown and He Bears the Cape of Stars. The color palette is inspired by the non-binary pride flag (yellow, white, purple, black) and the genderqueer pride flag (purple, white, green). The back will include the signatures of the anthology contributors: we can’t gather everyone together to get all 17 people to sign the book, but we CAN compile reproductions somewhere at least!

Close up on the aether musician:

For backers at the “+ Merch” backer levels of the Aether Beyond the Binary Kickstarter, this bookmark is included in what they’ll receive! It can also be added to any backer level that includes a physical item, so if you’re interested in ordering the book but don’t want all the merch, you can get just the book plus picking and choosing what you’d like!

In case you missed them, here are the other merchandise spotlights we’ve done for this campaign:

Become a Kickstarter backer today, and get an amazing book of stories starring outside-the-binary characters and a bunch of gorgeous merch! Win-win!

duckprintspress: (Default)

I’m now back from four days of con vending, and will be resuming our regular Aether Beyond the Binary crowdfunding campaign updates, highlighting the authors we’ve not yet spotlighted and the remaining merchandise. I’m thrilled with the progress of the campaign over the past few days; we’re now at 69% of our final goal, with 8 days to go – a promising position to be in.

Today we’re spending a little time with our adorable plant-watering bot. We love the entire cover created by Mar Spragge; it’s full of lovely details and magical vibes. The characters are vibrant and lively, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire cover.

But, from the moment we saw their sketches, we grew especially attached to one aspect in particular: this little guy.

This lil plant-watering bot is just so cute, we were enchanted! So, of course we decided to feature it in the campaign merchandise. Specifically, you can get up to two options that incorporate this robot.

Holographic Sticker

We’ll be producing a 4 in x 4 in/10.25 cm x 10.25 cm square sticker featuring the plants and the bot from the back. The materials for this will include a holographic rainbow shimmer, and it’s gonna make for a truly lovely effect. We can’t wait to see it in production.

You can get this lovely sticker by backing at Level 4 (TPB + Merch) or Level 5 (HC + Merch), or you can add one or more sticker to any order that includes any physical merch. So, make sure you get yours!

Patreon-Exclusive Key Chain

For our Patreon backers at level $10/month and $25/month who also support this campaign, we’ll also be producing this sweet little transparent key chain!

It’s not too late to get one of these key chains for yourselves – you can become a Duck Prints Press Patreon supporter anytime before the end of the campaign, and we’ll add the key chain to your order!

Come on over to Kickstarter and become a backer today to get yours! This campaign ends on January 25th, 2024.

The pre-order campaign for To Drive the Hundred Miles by Alec J. Marsh, a queer holiday novella with a trans male protagonist, ends on October 20th, midnight GMT-12 (8 AM Eastern Time on October 21st).

WE ARE STILL $500 AWAY FROM OUR FUNDING GOAL! Don’t miss this chance to buy a great book. Check out our pre-order campaignbefore time runs out!

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SPREAD THE WORD – please share this post. Hearing about To Drive the Hundred Miles for the first time? Read on to learn all about it…

Serendipity, WA is filled with Christmas cheer, beautiful mountain views, and trans man Will’s feminist Wiccan family. Home for the holidays, he avoids their clumsy attempts at support by hiding in the local coffee shop and flirting with Bea, a friend from high school.

The beautiful landscapes can’t make up for the the realities of being queer in a small town, and Bea wants out. Will grabs for a prosperity spell, and finds a new way to connect to the magic he’s become estranged from. New romance and optimism get them through the holidays, ready to face their next problems.

Author Alec J. Marsh describes his novel To Drive the Hundred Miles as a Hallmark movie made queer. With a trans male protagonist and an immersive first-person point of view, this novella will draw you in and hold your attention from start to finish. Join Will as he struggles with his family’s acceptance of him, and as he struggles with his own acceptance of the potentially bright future offered to him by the cute barista Bea. Ringing in the season with lows and highs, a whole lot of coffee and pancakes, and a modest dollop of spicy f/m content, you won’t want to miss your chance to get this touching book—now available as a gorgeous trade paperback for the first time ever!

In addition to offering pre-orders for the book in e-book and print editions, we’re also offering some gorgeous merchandise!

So come on over and get a great book and some gorgeous merchandise, and get your queer read on in time for the coming holidays!

Pre-orders for Adrian Harley’s debut sapphic fantasy novel Many Drops Make a Stream are now open!

A memory-stealing cult.
The ever-watchful City of Eyes.
Making small talk.

Join Droplet as she faces all these horrors and more…

Vigilante shapeshifter Droplet has trained her entire life to take down those with more power than scruples, but she still makes mistakes. When a rescue mission goes wrong, a memory-stealing cult of blood mages escapes with kidnapped captives in tow. To save them, Droplet reluctantly teams up with the outgoing, tenacious Azera. Droplet knows better than to trust a human—she made that mistake once, and that person’s betrayal scattered her community across the known world—and she can tell Azera is hiding secrets behind her sunny smile. But if they can’t learn to work together, even Droplet’s own memories could be lost.

Many Drops Make a Stream, Adrian Harley’s debut novel, is the stand-alone first book in a series of related fantasy-mystery-heists featuring the shapeshifter Droplet and the friends and found family who work alongside her to fight the corrupt powers-that-be. Many Drops Make a Stream is rated general (adult) audiences and features shapeshifting shenanigans, a nascent f/f quarrelers-to-lovers pre-relationship, a wonderful extended cast of family and pseudo-family, necromancy and blood magic and spellwork (oh my!), and one (1) very angry goose.

For this campaign, we’re offering:

Better yet, you can get a discount by picking one of three bundles:

It wouldn’t be a Duck Prints Press pre-order campaign if we weren’t offering some absolutely awesome extras to go with your book purchase! When we open pre-orders for Many Drops Make a Stream by Adrian Harley TOMORROW, we’ll also be offering some merchandise – and you’ll be able to choose to buy a package that includes merch, or you can mix-and-match to get exactly what you want, or you can get just the book, if merch is just really not your thing. (You can preview the campaign deets here).

Wondering who Droplet is and why there are so many animals? This is a good moment for a refresher on the Many Drops Make a Stream blurb!

A memory-stealing cult.

Making small talk.

Join Droplet as she faces all these horrors and more…

But if they can’t learn to work together, even Droplet’s own memories could be lost.

Shapeshift main character? A chance to show off lots of fun animal forms? Heck YES that’s the direction we went when planning out the extras!

So what have we got for you?

An enamel pin of Droplet mid-transformation from a tiger to her signature goose form, 2 in x 2 in/5 cm x 5 cm, with glitter in the background color, featuring art by Aceriee (Instagram | Tumblr | Twitter). (Manufactured by Alchemy.)

Goose!Dux, the Droplet books’ custom Dux, as a die-cut sticker approximately 3 in x 3 in/7.5 cm x 7.5 cm. Designed by Alessa Riel. (Printed by Vograce.) “Goose” is Droplet’s favorite form (for good reason!) so when Dux got decked out for this book, of course we designed a Dux-goose.

An art print of the front cover (8 in x 10 in/20.25 cm x 25.5 cm), featuring Roui Cris’s (Tumblr | Twitter | Artstation) gorgeous artwork of Droplet and Azera flying over Sacarus, the City of Eyes. (Printed by PrintKeg.)

Patreon-exclusive extra: a wooden coaster (4 in./10.25 cm circular) engraved with art TO BE REVEALED. (it. might be a goose. just sayin’. there’s a Theme.) The artwork is by Aceriee, and the coasters will be manufactured by E. Conway, who also works with DPP as an editor.

How do you get the Patreon-exclusive extra? Easy! You just have to do two things: 1. Back our Patreon at the $10/month or $25/month level; and 2. Support this campaign by buying at least one of the pre-order offerings.

We’ve also got some merch-related stretch goals – depending how much money the campaign raises, we may also make a bookmark featuring the front cover artwork, an engraved wooden pendant with the Eye of Sacarus (that’s the eye motif featured on the cover!), and a wooden key chain featuring Goose!Droplet. We really hope we’ll be able to make some of this merch, too.

There is only ONE MORE DAY until this pre-order campaign launches on the Duck Prints Press website. Are you excited? Cause we’re hella excited. <3

(btw, in case you’ve been wondering when tomorrow, I expect to make the shop listings live sometime in the AM, EDT, and to make all the related updates to the Pre-Order Page and announcements on our social media shortly thereafter. Also, hi, I’m Claire Houck/unforth, the book’s editor and owner of the Press. I’m handling our marketing for this pre-order campaign! Nice to meet ya. 😀 )

The bonus magnet is free to Patreon backers who support the campaign – but being a Patreon backer is the only way to get it, so if that’s what you crave, there’s no time like the present to become a backer!

THERE’S NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT TO FOLLOW THE CAMPAIGN! We launch tomorrow, June 15th, 2023, and we couldn’t be more excited – we hope we’ll see you there!

What’s that noise? Is it the caw of something out of sight high overhead? A who-who-who echoing out of the darkness? A grrrr coming from the rustling underbrush? The crash, crash of something large moving through the trees?

No! It’s the sound of our latest Kickstarter launching!

Celebrate Fall with our Eerie Animal Enamel Pins!

Fall is the season of spook. Get your Autumn on—literally!—by donning one (or more!) of our eerie animal enamel pins! These realistically rendered, gorgeous pins feature different animals indigenous to northern areas of North America and Europe surrounded by elements of their natural habitats.

For our first merchandise-only campaign, Duck Prints Press approached the spectacular artist Aceriee (Instagram | Tumblr | Twitter) and asked her to let her imagination run wild. The results are gorgeous, unique, and perfect for the season: 7 animals at their spooky, creepy, scary best, depicted in the rich colors of fall. Seasonal enough to enhance any autumn outfit, classy enough for year-round wear.

All the pins for this campaign are 2 in x 2 in (5 cm x 5 cm) and feature black nickel metal with soft enamel color work coated by a clear epoxy finish. They have two attachment posts with silver butterfly closures and feature either 6 or 8 colors, one of which glows in the dark (which varies in each pin).

This is a tiered release pin campaign (and our first-ever art-only project!)

At our initial funding goal ($1,500), backers can pick the Crow and Wolf pins (buy one or both or multiples of either/both!)

If we exceed $3,500 in backing, all backers will be able to choose from among four pins: Crow, Wolf, Moose, and Bear.

If we exceed $6,000 in backing, all backers will be able to choose from among six pins: Crow, Wolf, Moose, Bear, Raccoon, and Owl.

If we exceed $9,000 in backing, all backers will be able to choose from among eight pins: Crow, Wolf, Moose, Bear, Raccoon, Owl, Fox, and the not-yet-revealed Deer.

At $10,000, we’ll offer another unrevealed option: Bobcat. And, if we reach $11,000, we’ll offer out tenth and last pin, which is—of course!—a Duck!

Mix and match, pick your favorites, buy enough for all your friends, or just get one—you’re not going to want to miss this one chance to get these spectacular fall-themed animal pins!

The campaign is live now, and will run through Sunday, November 27th, 2022.

The Seed&Spark campaign for He Bears the Cape of Stars and She Wears the Midnight Crown includes a lot of gorgeous merchandise options. Today, we’re taking a look at two of them!

Bookmarks

Our bookmarks, one aligned with She Wears the Midnight Crown, the other with He Bears the Cape of Stars, feature the lovely artwork of Pippin Peacock.

With printing by UPrinting, who have also printed the campaign bookmarks for Add Magic to Taste and And Seek (Not) to Alter Me, our first two anthologies, we know that this merch will be gorgeous in high-gloss on quality, thick cardstock. The back of the She Wears the Midnight Crown bookmark will feature the signatures of the authors who contributed to that book; likewise, contributors to He Bears the Cape of Stars provided their signatures so we could share them on the back of that bookmark!

The bookmarks are each 2 in x 7.25 in (5 cm x 18.5 cm) and will have rounded corners, a 3/16 in hole at the top center, and gold tassels!

Enamel Pins

We’ve once again contracted Miss Aceriee to create artwork for our enamel pins, and the results are simply stunning. (In fact, Miss Aceriee produced so many lovely ideas that we had trouble picking – more on that later!). Miss Aceriee took our inspiration and ran with it, creating a design for two pins that are each lovely as stand-alone pieces, and even more amazing when paired!

For manufacturing purposes, we will be working with Alchemy for the third time – the pins they made for each of our previous campaigns have turned out fantastically. These pins will each be approximately 2 in x 1 in (5 cm x 2.5 cm), with two back-prongs to help ensure they attach securely. The metalwork is gold, with matching butterfly pin backers. The enamel work will be soft enamel with a clear epoxy coating, and one color (the dark green-blue) on each will have glitter to make it extra sparkly.

Bonus: Backer-Exclusive Reward!

We had so much trouble deciding which of Miss Aceriee’s designs to use as the campaign pins that we decided, first, to have a third/fourth pin offered as a stretch goal (if we hit $26,000 in funding, everyone who backed the campaign at level 5+ will receive one or both pins as extras!), and second, that we’d make the same design we chose for that into a die-cut sticker for some of our monthly backers. People who back Duck Prints Press monthly on Patreon or ko-fi at the $10 or $25 level, AND who back our crowdfunding campaigns, always get an exclusive extra. This time, it’ll be this design in one of these four colorways:

Want to know which of the four will become the sticker? So do we! Our backers can vote on their favorite for the next week, and their wish will be our command – and, if we reach the $26,000 stretch goal, the colors of their choice will also be made into two pins – the sun/crown mask and the star/beard mask, lovely as stand-alone, amazing as an interlocking pair!

So, if you’re a backer, go vote, and if you’re not a backer yet – no time like the present to become one!

You, yes YOU, can support us on Patreon or ko-fi!

(Also, just sayin’ – it’s also the last 24 hours to have a say in the theme of our next Queer Fanworks Inspired By… anthology on Patreon or ko-fi – that poll is open to ALL our backers; the sticker poll is only open to backers at the $10 and $25 levels, since they’re the only folks who receive the exclusive campaign extra.)
